HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
ASAP! I book on a first-come, first-serve basis! Meaning, I could get multiple inquiries for the same date, but the first client that is able to sign the contract & send the deposit gets the date. The longer you wait to book or inquire about your date, the lower your chances are of me having that date available for you! So book as soon as you possibly can! PRO WEDDING TIP: Touch base with your preferred vendors before you book your venue! We'd be more than happy to list off a few dates that we are available, before you head off to the venue booking appointment! This way you can factor this into your decisions and secure the vendors you've always wanted!
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
FUN & FULL OF LAUGHS! I love to capture raw, authentic emotions! CANDID's! My approach typically involves a lot of motion, snuggling & you being you! I direct you by using prompts, instead of posing you! By giving you little directions, you focus on the task at hand, rather than over posing yourself! My style is usually described as "WARM, RUSTIC, VINTAGE, CINEMATIC" The best way to see what I mean is to check out my portfolio or take a look at my social media!
DO WE FEED YOU ON OUR WEDDING DAY?
Yes please!! I appreciate it! In order for me to capture the best photographs I need to be my best self & I'm definitely my best self on a full tummy!! (Events extending 4+ hours require a meal provided) Dinner time is the perfect time for me to take a small break! Please ask your planner/coordinator to have our dinners brought out at the same time, so I can still capture you & your family at times we're not both eating! (no one likes having their photos taken while they're eating lol!)
IF WE DON'T NEED an ENGAGEMENT SESSION, DOES THAT LOWER my PACKAGE PRICE?
It does not - the engagement shoot is a fun, complementary item that is not added into the cost of any full wedding package. The engagement session is a great way for me to get to know the both of you before your wedding and for you to be comfortable in front of the camera! It's highly recommended! It is also a great opportunity for some additional photos not in your wedding attire! (save the dates!?)
what happens if it rains?
If we organize a session outdoors and the weather is rainy or unsafe, I'll be in touch a day or two beforehand to reschedule the session! (no postponing fees)
Don't be disheartened by an overcast day, a lot of times those are the best conditions for an outdoor session!
can our pets join our session?
I love when your fur babies join our outdoor sessions! Having a fur baby myself, I know how much they become such a valued and important part of your family!
Bring them along!
what if my kids act out during a session?
We will take it as it comes! No stress!
Children tend to take lead of the session and we will make the best of it! We'll have lots of laughs, and incorporate lots of movement! We can never predict the outcome, but I promise it will be okay and we'll get some amazing images of everyone! Tell your little ones they're going to be able to run around and play, sing songs and dance. Let them know we are going to have fun and we will! If there's tears, that's life! You never really know the true value of a moment until you're looking back on those precious printed photo albums!
what do you suggest for colour scheme?
Neutrals and early tones all the way! Colours such as creams, browns, beiges, khaki, dark greens, burnt oranges! These colours work really well with most indoor and outdoor environments as well as my editing style! Please avoid logos and crazy patterns as it can be very distracting. will you change your editing style for me?
Unfortunately not. If you have something other than my style of work in mind, I would highly recommend looking into other photographers who may better suit your style & needs. I want to ensure you'll be happy and not disappointed after receiving your photos. If you take a look at my instagram you can get a good idea of my editing style! My style tends to be warmer, natural, with neutral colours and a bohemian style! (BOHO)
will you send me the raw files?
Unfortunately the answer to this question is no. One of the reasons my work is so unique has to do with not only how I shoot, but also my editing style. If I were to deliver RAWS to a client, it would not be a finalized product and would not accurately represent my style. I only want to deliver my best work to each and every one of my clients, which is why I do not deliver RAW files.
WILL OUR PHOTOS go ON your SOCIAL MEDIA?
Yes, in my contract it's mentioned that I will be able to edit, and use the images i've taken on my website, and any social media. At no time, will any of your personal information be posted. (I.E phone number, address, ect) If you have any concerns or hesitations in regards to this, or simply do not what any of your photographs shared, please reach out to me! I would be happy to discuss this with you!
DO YOU TAKE A DEPOSIT WHEN RESERVING A DATE?
Yes, for every session there is a non-refundable retainer required upon booking with me. I can accept an E-Transfer deposit, or cash depending on if our consult is over the phone, or in person! The remaining balance is expected to be paid the day prior to your session (or on the day of your shoot if you're paying in cash)
where do you travel to?
ANYWHEREEE!!! Currently we are located in Barrie Ontario. I travel within a 20km radius from Barrie free of cost! Key locations in Ontario that we travel to are: Muskoka, Huntsville, North Bay, Bracebridge, Orillia, Vaughn, King, Brampton, Caledon, Toronto, Guelph, Hamilton, St Catherine's, Niagara, London, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Scarborough, Mississauga, Oakville & many more!
If we’re going a little further, here are my rates: Any location outside of the 20km range, there is a .50c per km travel fee. If the location is out of province or country, I may require:
• Lodging (Cost of Airbnb or Hotel)
• Food ($80/day)
• Flights (cost of economy round trip flight)
• Rental vehicle and/or Reimbursement of gasoline costs
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE MY PHOTOS?
After your wedding or elopement, you can expect to see the edited online gallery within 8-12 weeks of your date! You can expect to see your online couples, engagement or lifestyle gallery's within 4-8 weeks after your session! (From June-November wait times may be delayed by 2-4 weeks, as it is our busiest season!) I want you to know that we hand edit every single image that is delivered to you! We take our time with each and every one of your photographs! I take extreme pride in my editing process and have trained my eye to get my images to look a certain way. I give my full attention to every single one of my sessions!
WILL OUR PHOTOs BE WATERMARKED?
No. The high resolution digital files you receive, will not have any Logo's or bear any watermarks. I only ask that when you are ready to post your photos to social media, that you please tag me! It helps me connect with other amazing people like yourself!
WHAT IF WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE or CANCEL OUR SESSION?
If you need to reschedule your session date, please reach out to me at least 7 day in advanced. Postponing your session within the 7 days leading up to your session, may result in additional charges. If you are looking to cancel your session completely, it will result in the loss of your non-refundable deposit.
DO I HAVE TO ORDER PRINTS THROUGH YOU?
You do not have to order prints through me, but I definitely recommend it. I do not have any guarantee on images that are not printed through me. I highly recommend ordering your prints through your Pixieset gallery once it has been delivered to you! Ordering prints through your gallery is fast, easy and ensures you will not lose any quality in your images! Through my online store, you are able to purchase a large variety of specialty prints! This includes but is not limited to; standard prints, large prints, canvases, etc.
